Exhibition dedicated to Papadiamandis
9 February – 18 March 2012, The New Archeological Museum of Patras
Visitors: 4.500
In collaboration with the revenue, the University of Patras and the Mikri Arktos, Art in Progress carried out an exhibition with artworks from 113 artists, as a tribute to the complex leading Greek writer Alexandros Papadiamantis.
Artists from all over Greece attended, from different movements and different generations.
After the very successful presentation in Athens, in the Cultural Center “Melina” in December 2011, the exhibition was transferred to the new Archeological Museum of Patras in the belief that Papadiamadis, thrifty and simultaneously extremely penetrating and self-aware in both his life and in his work, remains timely as ever.
